What Is MVHR

Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery

MVHR is a mechanical ventilation system that extracts air and supplies filtered replacement air through a heat-recovery unit. The selected equipment, airflow design and controls are defined by the project design team and manufacturer information.

Design Coordination
Review issued drawings and the ventilation specification. Record key routes, interfaces and information gaps before installation.

RAMS Documentation
Project documentation requirements are agreed for the defined package before site work starts.

Unit & Ductwork Installation
Install the unit, distribution ductwork, valves, grilles and diffusers included in the issued scope and equipment schedule.

Commissioning & Balancing
Testing, balancing and record requirements may be included where specified and agreed within the package.

O&M Handover
Operation and maintenance information, as-built records and supporting documents can be agreed as part of the handover scope.

Defects Resolution
Completion actions and any post-installation responsibilities are handled in line with the agreed package and contract terms.
